Ransom's Practice Run.

So last week we experienced a little preterm labor action. I had no idea this was occurring while it was. I first threw up and thought I had just waited too long to take my vitamins after dinner but was feeling really dizzy and seeing little stars. I called Justin up at work to let him know in case something were to happen. So he races home and convinces me we need to go to the hospital. I am so thankful for his discernment. God has definitely blessed him with this.

So we went and found out I was having contractions every 2-3 minutes. These contractions weren't labor contractions quite yet because they weren't painful at all. In fact I didn't even know I was having contractions until they hooked me up to the contraction monitor. As we sat there for a few hours I started to feel them more and more. So they gave me an IV thinking I may have been dehydrated (which I knew I wasn't because I am OCD when it comes to drinking water). But that didn't stop the contractions or slow them down. So the midwife decided to give me a little pill that would stop later. That started working and we were out of there within 5 or 6 hours. It was a long night and took a while to recover from not sleeping for over 24 hours.

But I LOVE the hospital we will be delivering at and the midwives. They were so calm and helpful. I'm hoping we have a similarly wonderful experience when it's the real deal:)

So lately I have been trying to take it easy until the big day. But I am still doing my daily walking and just finished my last week of work which was very bitter-sweet...

however, I am so excited to be a stay home wife to such a marvelous godly man and be a momma to such a handsome and adorable son.

Now we are approaching 36 weeks and counting down the days until we can meet our boy.

Justin is quickly approaching his finals and is registered for Biola University. We are so excited to start our next adventure in California. But will be sad to say good-bye to such a wonderful community of people. But I won't talk about that yet because it makes me too emotional. :/
So here we are at 36 weeks almost to the finish line. We cannnnnnotttt wait to meet Ransom but I am trying to take advantage of all the resting and nesting time I will have over the next couple of weeks before his arrival. We are already so in love with our son.
